12cent formed nearly 7 years ago in 1995 when
childhood friends Scott and Tom sat at the end of scotts
street hammering out songs and yelling at passing
cars. Then out of no where a passing motorist stopped
and tossed out a bunch of change. And it was, you guessed it, a
nickle and 7 pennies. And 12cent was born.

The demo "yellow #5" was recorded in 96, then with
the addition of Dan on bass, "Working without Class"
was recorded in 1998. That demo brought them
up and down the east coast on 3 tours.
Then in 1999-2000 the boys recorded the 6 song
EP "Fat Drunk and Stupid". Almost immediatly after
the release in winter 2000, the band got show offers
all over the country. Witch led to the "Gas Sux Ass Tour"
of the summer of 2000. 6 weeks around the entire US of A.
Including the 3 day "Brain Deneke Memeorial Festival"
in Amarillo Texas. Upon returning home, the band
added Pete Nutz on 2nd guitar to complete
the band as a 4 peice.

As of right now, the band has just finished recording
a new 11 song CD and are lookin for label
support on releasing it. (After 7 years of doing
everything ourselves, We think we deserve a little help.)

In conclusion, 12cent is at its best live and
operates best ont he road. So as soon
as we can we will be back on the open
road, spreading our message of stupidity,
and that its all about having a good time. The End.
- Donut Dan
